The luxuries about this condo and surrounding area
An exclusive rental vacation by owner with quality accomodations and the ability to relax in privacy.
This is a magnificent location where you package you're vacation and the owners as host provide rewarding support to help you enjoy this wonderful and sophisticated environment for the tropical lifestyle.
Playacar is a manicured up-scale secure gated residential resort area that Defines the southern part of Playa del Carmen. It was designed from the Ground up to create a sophisticated environment for the tropical lifestyle. Playa is easy to get to. A 40-minute drive from Cancun's international airport, this paradise is right down Highway 307. We suggest a private airport van service. In addition Taxi's are readily available and Buses run from the Cancun Bus Station (Terminal de Autobuses) every 15 minutes or take a shuttle van out of the airport directly to Playacar for $18/person from the airport. Many visitors choose to rent a car and explore all the outlying attractions on their own.
So what are some of the things you can do here?
I like Choices and I like taking my time and finding out where the fun spots are in Playa. Everyone has there own tastes in lifestyles but we're almost all alike when it comes to finding where the excitement, adventure, great dining and nightclubs are happening here. You have a wonderful array of choices when you come to playa because It's a tourist destination. You also have a good transportation system in place where you can rent a car and take a taxi or bus and a ferry boat systems enbarking you to Mexico's neighboring islands. The Seafood, Asian, Mexican, Italian and Chicago style cuisines are wonderful here. What sets Paseo Del Sol condominiums apart from the competition is location, price, amenities
and resort style services unmatched by any other small private condo community. The concierge service is great here with 24/7 onsite security. They'll do anything you ask. And a small considerate tip upon your departure is always welcomed. We've established a friends and family setting and we like the feeling of being spoiled too.
Most vacationers come to Playa del Carmen because of the low impact lifestyle, relaxation, a center hub to it all including the bustling famous 5th Avenue pedestrian boulevard. I refer to it as a promenade where you'll find fine dining, boutiques, crafts and artwork native to the area. That's a given but... There's much more to offer. From your condo door it's only a 2-minute walk to 9 or 18 holes of golf on the Playacar championship course (designed by Van Hagge) -- a golfer's paradise.
As a guest at our condo, you have direct beach access where you meander down a short 3 minute path to the Reef Beach Club. As VIP guests, the beach club offers free beaching, the club's facility, all type of activity during the day including beach games, pool games, water sports, spas, gym, sauna, and a movie theater. The Reef offes daily all-inclusive meal plans if you choose to buy into it.
Of course, you're just a 10-minute walk to the south-end entrance onto famous 5th Avenue where the Cozumel boat peir is located. As a city, Playa Del Carmen is considered very safe and the crime rate is less then a half percent.
As always, keep your personal items of value at home when traveling about during the day. For that we have an electronic safe in the condo to keep your laptop and personal items and money out of reach to the unknown.
Some Points of interest within Playacar are small Maya archaeological sites located throughout the area. The tropical bird aviary has many of the more spectacular bird species to be found in the Yucatan. Sporting attractions include world-class fishing, an 18-hole golf course (it includes all drinks and meals), tennis courts, beach clubs and clubhouse. There is also shopping at the Plaza Antigua and Plaza Playacar shopping Centers. In addition, several new malls and large grocery shopping centers were Completed at the end of 2005, among countless other things to do and see in Playa del Carmen. Playacar is centrally located to all the coastal adventures to be found in the Riviera Maya between Cancun and Tulum.
Come to relax in a lavishing paradise. One of the finer condo facilities anywhere along the riviera maya compliments the reputation of an exquisite vacation lifestyle. You'll enjoy the facet of the area, plan wonderful days, take a cultural tour, visit an ecological park for the day, do an ocean adventure tour, enjoy open-air lunches, come back to world-renowned posh spas where you get the finest in body and mind therapy and top the evening to a memorable dinner and stroll along 5th Avenue (La Quinta Avenita), the pedestrian boulevard along the beaches in Playa del Carmen. People and Money
All money can be exchanged at the local banks or exchange booths up and down 5th avenue for the best rates Browsing at exchange rate booths for the best posted rates. The exchange rates are better at the banks and exchange booths in Playa then at the airport. Keep in mind Playa Del Carmen has become one of the hottest top-10 vacation spots in Latin America for Europeans, English, Canadians and Americans. So the US dollar is accepted as well as other currencies for exchange.
Walking, Biking or Taxi Please
Walking to various areas is what a lot of vacationers due and taxis are widely available and used. Just flag one down. If you prefer to Rent-A-Bike, you have the option to rent my two bicycles for $50 dollars for use as a maintenance fee and signing a waiver. You can also pay the closest bike rental shop at $15usd per day per bike. It's your choice. However, you always take full responsibility of personal injury and damages when renting regardless of where you rent. It will be upon the guest using the equipment. A form must be signed with guest services and payment made before the bikes can be rented.
We ask that you check the tires and inflate them to the correct tire pressure before going out. The tire pressure is listed on the tire. Use the available air pump (with attached air gauge reading) to inflate the tires. Please proceed with caution and don't bicycle while intoxicated where the locales may take advantage of you.
The Police are very protective of the area. You can walk your bike on 5th avenue but you can't ride the bike on 5th avenue.
Shopping and Dining District
We have a wonderful shopping district to include several superstore grocery complexes for all your shopping needs. To name a few we have Sams club, Wal-Mart, Soriano, Mega, and Chidraui. Chidraui will deliver a shopping order if called in. But you must provide it in Spanish (check with the our management services office for assistance on this subject area). These stores are located on highway 307 and on 20th and 30th Street between 10th and 16th Avenue. As you can see we are located in a popular location. The locals are friendly and we want you to feel at home. You'll find a great ethnic mix of vacationers on 5th Avenue. Mariachi bands serene through the open air restaurants as you dine throughout this area. The locals and store merchants are very friendly.
There are very few beggers if any. What you will find are that employees only make 40 pesos a day. And sometimes providing a very small tip helps pay for their daily meal.
5th Avenue has a section know as little Italy for fine dining and shops. Yet there's fine dining throughout. If you're the upbeat type try some of the trendy bar and grills and enjoy open-air seating along the pedestrian boulevard.
True, this pedestrian boulevard puts you in the spotlight and what a good feeling that is. The further up and off 5th avenue you go, the more authentic the Mexican food is. You're gonna love it
because it's like walking down an never ending enchanted pathway on a warm evening as a mild breeze flows off the ocean and through the streets. So treat yourself good and take a stroll up and down the pedestrian boulevard for a romantic and fun-filled evening. Maybe explore and go up a few street off the pedestrian boulevard to find other low-key bars and dining at better prices. You will get great food, drinks and enchantment throughout the night. That's a promise. So let the fun begin and come see for you.
Dress code
Why do I even bother to write this down? Well there are very
few places that would require long pants for dining. I've only found one dining
place requesting men to wear long pants and that was in Xcaret Park,
which is an all-inclusive park to spend a day with family and friends. While on the subect, you'll enjoy an all-inclusive day geared around the Mayan culture, Mayan sporting events, treasures and ruins to explore, beaches, dolphins,a turtle farm, a gator pit and salt-water swimming pools made from ocean rock formation. This place houses it all. There are three all-you-can eat restuarants on the premises. That's all I'm going to say about it.
Typically, down in Playa it's usually dress down casual to a
nice casual unless you're here on business. It's your call. It's hot so keep
you winter clothing at home. You can bring long pants and light sweater/jacket but make sure there of
a light material. Always bring a can of Insect Repellent if you are vulnerable and sensitive to mosquito bites. I say this for those that plan on adventuring on site-seeing tours and nature walks. Bug spray and cremes are available but expensive.
And lastly, remember to pack a couple of swimsuits as the pool water is always comfortable and the ocean temporature averages 80 degrees 365 days out of the year.
Maria and I are always happy to have quality vacationers staying in our condo anytime of the year.
Bienvenidos!!
